Accreditations

 The DNA identity laboratory of Labcorp is accredited by:

• Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)
• College of American Pathologists (CAP)
• Accredited to ISO/IEC 15189 by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), for STR analysis
• The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)

Under  the accreditation programs of these national organizations,  the laboratory regularly undergoes comprehensive in-depth inspections to  demonstrate that operations, management, employees, procedures,  instruments, physical laboratory, and security procedures meet stringent  quality standards.  The DNA laboratory also continuously participates  in blind proficiency testing programs issued by these national  organizations, as part of the DNA laboratory's quality control and  quality assurance programs.
